Mr. Patlán comes to us from the film and television industry. He has worked in television at PBS and also is an independent filmmaker.
He has recently worked sound with CinematograficaVéliz on three feature films; La Tragedia de Macario, which was screened at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, “Clemente” and “7 Kilos” which recently premiered to wonderful reviews. He has also recently completed assisting CinematograficaVéliz as Assistant Director as well as Assistant Camera for the feature film “Double Dagger” which was filming in San Antonio and Los Angeles. Mr. Patlán is currently line-producing their latest feature film “The Boys of Ghost Town: The Rise of Danny Ortega.”
Mr. Patlán has also produced the television series “State of the Art with Michael Mehl” as well as the KLRN documentary series “Fresh Cut.”
When not working he is busy writing the seminal work, “782 Things You Can Do with a VW and a Spatula.”
